The research focus of the group lies on the development of methods for modeling, simulation and control of logistic processes, systems, chain and nets regarding dynamics and complexity. The goal is to integrate the dynamics into the guidance of the production and logistic system. In particular, the impact of an integrated and logistics driven design approach on the production and supply chain shall be analyzed with respect to costs for one to one production and for environmental damages. The scope of the development reaches from concepts, e.g. for global supply chains, to controller implementation for truck formation drives, i.e. from small to big as well as from theory to practice.
