In the summer semester 2017 - winter semester 2ß17/2018 we will  offer this "Softwaretechnikprojekt" for all bachelor students of the discipline System Engineering B.Sc.
 
Short description:
The aim of this project is to develop a central monitoring application which visualises properties of distributed autonomous model cars. Those properties should be collected in real-time, if possible and be presented. Programming knowledge in C++ may be helpful.

Modeling, Analysis, and Control of Dynamics in Logistics (04-M10-1-MET22)

During the winter term 2017 the lecture Modeling, Analysis, and Control of Dynamics in Logistics will be offered. The course is intended to all master students Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen in Modulbereich 1 and for all master students Produktionstechnik (Industrial Management) as compulsory subject choice.
 
Description of the course:
 
The course aims to lead students to the current research frontier in the field of logistics. It focuses on the dynamics of logistics systems and is divided into the following points:
 
1. Overview of logistics systems and processes
2. Queuing theory and models
3. Discrete-Event Simulation
4. Continuous time flow models and system analysis
6. Controller design
7. System dynamics

Dynamics in Logistics - Basics for Multidisciplinary Approaches (04-M10-L-PT50)

During the winter term 2017 the course Dynamics in Logistics - Basics for Multidisciplinary Approaches will be offered. The course is intended for all master students Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen in the teaching project module.
 
Description of the course:
 
Each participant does, along with a supervisor, a research project. The project should fit the topic and needs to be completed within the specified period. The project is evaluated based on the project handling, a presentation on the findings as well as a written final report. There will be discussions with the respective supervisor regularly. Forum for the presentation is the Interdisciplinary Research Colloquium of the IGS, which will be held every Thursday morning.

Localisation of autonomous vehicles in indoor environment (04-V07-P-ST-1704)

During the summer term 2017 and winter term 2017/2018 the course Localisation of autonomous vehicles in indoor environment will be offered. The course is intended for all master students Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen in the teaching project module.
 
Description of the course:
 
The aim of this project is to use a model car on base of the Raspberry Pi platform utilizing the card kit to localize it in indoor environemnts. Incorporating indoor localization systems based on distributed beacons this should be realized via predefined reference points. This beacons enable the distributed cars to collect localization data and provide them in real-time. Furthermore, the communication among the cars should be considered, e.g. utilizing the Google-Protobuf protocol to broadcast the necessary information about the states.

During the summer term 2017 and winter term 2017/2018 the course Assembly of autonomous model cars and implementation of suitable sofware interface for end user applications will be offered. The course is intended for all master students Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen in the teaching project module.
 
Description of the course:
 
The aim of this project will be the assembly of a model car based on the Raspberry Pi platform utilizing the Car Kit. Both, on hardware and software level, should be realized that an easy control of the car is possible.
The full kit should be completed including camera, sonar sensors, GPS and driving unit to be able to move autonomous.
On the software level the control of the dynamics of the system should be provided via an interface. Furthermore, additional interfaces to control camera as the other sensors (GPS, sonar) should be realized to allow applications to use them directly.

Design and implementation of a predictive control for autonomous model cars based on embedded systems (04-V07-P-ST-1706)

During the summer term 2017 and winter term 2017/2018 the course Design and implementation of a predictive control for autonomous model cars based on embedded systems will be offered. The course is intended for all master students Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen in the teaching project module.
 
Description of the course:
The aim of this project is to control a model car based on the Raspberry Pi platform with the Car Kit utilizing a model predictive control. Therefore, the model cars should be able to exchange positions among them and the planned trajectory in an enclosed environement. Optionally, a simple obstacle recognition would be eiligible.
